POP Club for Kids

​

If you’re not familiar with this awesome part of the Silverton Farmers Market, the POP Club (Power of Produce) gives $2 weekly in free tokens to all kids between the ages of 5 and 12 to use on any fresh produce or edible plants at the market. This gets our kids buying healthy, local food for themselves, and is run completely on community donations and local business sponsorships. Note: the POP Club runs during the summer season only!

 

In 2023 we had more than 500 kids signed up, and this year we hope to have even more!  We normally have weekly kids’ (adults always welcome) activities on tasting new foods, gardening, agriculture, and ecology at the POP booth.  This year it's 'Grab and Go' with two tokens and a fruit, veggie or surprise!

 

If you’re interested in sponsoring a week of the POP Club for $150+, let us know! We would love to feature your company in a “thanks” at the booth for the rest of the season.   Spread the good news and send the kids!

We are fundraising for POP!  Local Artist Ann Altman has given permission for us to use her farmers market painting image on our 2021/2023 market bag.  We're happy to let you own one for a $10 donation to our club.  Good quality for a great cause!
